Aliquippa, PA (December 6, 2007) - Wen the Board of Education of Wicomico County in Salisbury, MD, needed fast, effective moisture remediation at nearby Delmar Elementary School, the ARDEX MC Moisture Control System provided a dynamic system solution. Excessive moisture in concrete slabs is one of the most common and costly challenges in flooring installations. At Delmar Elementary , moisture level readings were extremely high, with readings up to 95% relative humidity using a Wagner Rapid RH meter. Mitigating moisture vapor of this magnitude requires specialized products formulated to perform at exceptionally high levels, and the ARDEX MC two coat epoxy system was the ideal solution for the job.

The application was simple and straightforward: ARDEX P-MC primer followed ARDEX S-MC sealer with a sand broadcast. In spite of the fact that the scope of the school cafeteria work included removing three layers of flooring and one layer of gypsum underlayment, only 5 days were needed for tear out, shot blasting and applying ARDEX MC and ARDEX k 15* Self-Leveling Underlayment Concrete over 5200 square feet.
